On April 25, Sage co-hosted an exclusive event in Nashville, Tennessee, where industry leaders gathered to learn more about the intersection of technology and senior living. The Senior Living Innovation Showcase brought together experts from Centered Care, Vigilant Health, and Omega Healthcare Investors to share insights on leveraging technology for a more successful, efficient, and profitable senior living community.

The keynote speech by Joelle Poe, CEO and president of Centered Care, set the tone for the event, urging attendees to embrace transformative technology. Drawing inspiration from Henry Ford's famous quote, “If I had asked my customers what they wanted, they would have said a faster horse,” Poe emphasized the need for radical solutions over incremental improvements. She highlighted the potential of technology to enhance elder independence and quality of life, facilitate caregiver collaboration, and optimize medication compliance, among other benefits. Drawing from her own experience as an operator, Poe provided practical advice on building an effective tech stack while addressing privacy concerns and how to best involve residents and team members in the implementation process. She was introduced by Greg Furst, technology strategy and M&A consultant for Omega Healthcare Investors.

Andy Smith, CEO of Vigilant Health, led insightful discussions with Cassandra Hunter, a resident care coordinator from Centered Care, and Jerry Taylor, CEO of Kalven Senior Living and management company of The Rivers at Maryland Farms community, shedding light on their top tech challenges and how Sage has helped overcome them. Later, Sage’s CEO Raj Mehra and head of community Lindsey Daugherty took the stage to explain how the Sage platform drives significant changes for senior living operators through its intuitive user interface and data-driven insights.
